I stand before the cross in awe,
And I believe on Him who I saw.
For the blood flowed down from there,
From One who has shared my burden of care.
For my burden is a heavy load,
But He for me His care showed.
I was deep in my sin,
And He took me in.
Forget not His life's sacrifice,
Though Peter denied Him thrice.
Because He is the Lord of my life,
And He is my peace amongst the strife.
