Take hold to the cross,
And burn away all the dross.
For the refinement I need,
And to Your every word I do heed.
The Solid Rock is sure,
And He will faithfully endure.
For the time I spend here is short,
Help me to uplift and exhort.
What claim do you have on the eternal?
Do you live for Christ or for the external?
For the life we live is not our own,
But we live from orders from Thy throne.
