Think about the words you say,
Think about them everyday.
The words should heal,
The words should fulfill.
If our words are not wise,
Then it is to our own demise.
Speak the Words of God in love,
Let the Light of God shine down from above.
We speak sometimes with no thought,
Thinking that we will not get caught.
Thoughtless words wither the spirit,
And does not edify those that hear it.
Words of life have been given to me,
Words that can set your soul free.
Christ spoke these words long ago,
And He through us, wants the world to know.

Fed and Fulfilled
So you hunger for something more,
Amidst the poverty and war.
I know of someone more filling than food,
He is a Savior, loving and good.
He fed the many long ago,
But He still does it today, I know.
For on many occasions, He did great and mighty things,
And for our salvation, endured trials and sufferings.
His power far greater than our own,
Is throughout Creation known.
To say that you see not these things,
Only to yourself judgment brings.
Feed upon the Word of God divine,
And know fulfillment in Him sublime.
I know my Savior and all He has to give,
And I am thankful to in His presence daily live.
Amidst the poverty and war.
I know of someone more filling than food,

Road to the Cross
We gathered to welcome the coming King,
As we laid down palms leaves and His praises sing.
For He was heralded through ages past,
And those there knew that He would be the King that would last.
Where were you when He passed this way?
Were you too busy to be there that day.
Do you only come to remember this once a year,
And never to come around till the next to reappear.
He cared enough to show the love that this world needs,
To plant the plan of salvation through the Word of God's seeds.
His blood alone can cover your sin,
And make you clean within.
We come again to the road but there is no cause for joy,
And we see a man whose visage we cannot employ.
For we know that He walked this road willingly,
Because He saw that through this sacrifice it would set us free.
He carried that cross to the hill of Calvary,
And there His blood was spilt for you and for me.
He loved us when we did not show love for Him,
And by His love, our salvation did stem.

The God Breathed Word
Word of God breathed,
Salvation plan conceived,
Sin's burden relieved,
Prodigal son received.
The word of man it is not,
But the Word of God by Him was wrought.
Inspired by You, O, Lord,
It's worth we cannot afford.
For man alone could not this Word pen,
But God through Spirit-filled men.
I love Thy Word and all its parts,
Because through its words changed hearts.

Why Are We So Confused?
For some reason people confuse themselves by the simple things, and therefore think that they are lost. Life may seem to be a maze sometimes, but ultimately it is a maze created by us and not God. God is not the author of confusion, and He does not do anything that would cause confusion. It is when we start looking elsewhere for answer instead of the Word of God; that we create chaos in otherwise peaceful world. The true peace is found in Christ. It is not found in being in a zen state. All emptying your mind will do is just leave you feeling empty.
Another thing that causes confusion is anger. Anger can build up to dangerous levels, and it can so enrage us that it clouds our judgment. I know from experience that when I get angry that I can't think straight and I say things that can be hurtful.
"He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated."(Proverbs 14:17) We act as fools when we are angry.
"A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger."(Proverbs 15:1) When you are provoked, do not retaliate with hurtful words. I want you to step away from the situation, and think about how to deal with the situation in a manner that will ease the tension between the two parties involved.
"A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife."(Proverbs 15:18) I think that this verse echoes the same meaning as verse one of the same chapter.
"A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both. Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?"(Proverbs 27:3,4) Anger is very outrageous, and the more it is fueled, the more hurt that it causes.

Don't Ignore the Calling
"Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it."(I Thessalonians 5:24)
The Lord does not call people and leave them to fend for themselves. He leads through His Holy Spirit. Prayer is a part of the calling, because without prayer we do not know where He is leading. The Word of God gives us the Scripture to guide us through some of difficult parts of our calling. "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."(Hebrews 13:5) I have seen many people ignore their calling, and be miserable because they ignored it. He has given my family a clear calling to another ministry, and I am willing to take up that calling and minister where He would have me minister. Their are things that deter us from our calling, and we need to let those things go.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us."(Hebrews 12:1)
I ran into someone that had a clear calling to the chaplaincy in the Army, and he encouraged me to go forward and not look back. When I go into basic training, I will be laying aside everything that so easily besets me, and running the race with patience.
